"Welcome Back, SCMR!"
I have to tell you that I was extremely unhappy, and concerned, when I first heard the news in mid April that Reed Business had decided to shut down more than 20 magazines, including Supply Chain Management Review.
Unhappy because I had enjoyed blogging for SCMR during the past 2½ years, and appreciated the periodic positive feedback from readers.
Concerned because the supply chain management profession would be hard-pressed to find a replacement to fill the rather large shoes of Frank Quinn, editor, and the SCMR franchise.
So it is with great pleasure that I congratulate Brian Ceraolo, Group Publisher, and Frank Quinn, Editor of SCMR, and the rest of the management team who will be leading SCMR, Logistics Management, Modern Materials Handling, and Maternal Handling Product News into a new future. That future will not be dictated by a large corporation, but will be powered by a more entrepreneurial freedom.
My commitment to Frank, as editor, and you as the reader, is the same: to identify and comment on leading edge ideas and trends that can make the difference between your company’s future success or failure. Joining me, as occasional guest bloggers on this continuing journey, will be various members of the Greybeard Advisors team of practitioner-advisors.
